New additions

We added a Sun Conure pair (Ray and Rita) over the weekend. These are two truly stunning birds, both raised by their first breeder about 7 years ago from babies. They have really stunning colors and I had a chance to see one of their babies from April 2008 clutch and was really impressed with the amount of orange color on the baby. So now they are home and will join 'Sunshine and Bubba' our resident Sun Conure pair in the aviary. We also added two pairs of 'Blue Crown Conures' to our aviary.
This is a new species for us in the aviary, so we are really excited to see how this turns out. After reading about the 'Blue Crowns', we feel that we are going to enjoy them for a long time. The pairs we got are 'Joe and Sashta' and 'Otter and Seaweed' - They are still unsure of the move and the new surroundings, but have started to enjoy the fresh foods we offer at the aviary. We made a trip down to Mary D in PA to get these birds from Tammy - and we do have to thank her for the nice birds and all he help in answering questions about everything. Please look for some pictures on the front page and our picture gallery in the next day or two to see the new birds. If you are interested in any of these birds and want to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us.
