Sammy Comes Home

'Sammy' is our new pet, but he might have the oldest connection with any of us. He and 'Toby' was the first set of Macaw babies Jodie hand-fed and raised. So she has a special bond with them (well she is bonded with each and every baby that goes out of here!). This past weekend we came to know that 'Sammy' needs a new home. We thought about it and decided that he belongs here with us.

It has been a little hard on Jodie - for 'MAX' was her baby and after losing her, she was struggling to accept any pet into her life. Then we got 'Cammy' the beautiful catalina. Now as Sammy came home and he is the same as 'MAX' - Blue & Gold Macaw, she is a little bit sad about losing 'MAX'. I think she is doing ok and loves the fact that Sammy is home. He recognizes her mommy and is happy to be home too.
